Hi.

I'm new to video editing and was wondering if this is possible?

Is there a way to only apply video effects or edit only a portion of each frame? For instance, I would like to change a whole clip to black and white except a character's red shirt.

Is this hard?

Thanks!

what are you editing with, i just did this effect for a music video, you can see it at www.underthepowerlines.com - its Hey Joe.

if your using final cut pro here is a great tutorial that taught me how to do that effect in minutes: http://www.proapptips.com/proapptipsvideotutorials/879F...92-E8E89FAFE83F.html
