I decided to invest in a adapter that can put my analog video into my computer (I'm don't have the time to do stuff on my school's computers) and was wondering if anyone has any advice on what to get or where I can find out what to get? It would be much appreciated.

Have you considered the Dazzle DV Bridge? It plugs into a standard firewire port but translates analogue video to DV. It's not cheap but I think it's what you are after.

I think that Dazzle also makes a converter that plugs into your USB port if you don't have a firewire port. Check out Dazzle's website if they have one to make sure.

I'm actually getting a converter made by the same people s Pinaclle Studio (in fact, Pincale 8.0 comes with it) so I'm all good. Thanks for the advice.

NOOOOOOO!

Not Pinnacle please!

I've had nothing but bad experienced with both their software and their hardware.

Plus, they like to charge for software updates which let's face it is just a rip-off.
