hey all you technical people out there... I need help... Big time.

Okay... this is the thing.

I need to know How I can get video from my computer onto my Television.

I bought a video card with a video out plug and used to do it that way by hooking it up to the back of my VCR, HOWEVER, After I updated to Windows XP Pro, my computer messses up everytime I try and do it that way.

I was wondering How you people get your video onto the TV...

Please Help me, I have a deadline and I'm sort of in a sticky situation.

THANKS.

if you are editing digitally, record your movie onto a miniDV tape on a digital camera using firewire, then hook the camera up to the VCR and record it onto a normal tape.

...or just hook up the camera and hit play keeping the higher res of MiniDV without quality loss from the VHS transfer but both are an option.

Yeah, I use both of these options depending on what is required. I don't think its worth the time to bother with the video-out on your card, unless of course you have to. Otherwise, I would take the advice of these fine gents, and just transfer it back on to mini dv.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer of the video card? It seems the incompatibility is between the card and WinXP Pro...maybe the manufacturer has a patch for it or something...?
