I'm looking for anything better MGI Video Wave 4. That program is a piece of crap.

That's it? Then yea, go with premiere pro. It's only bested by Avid and again thats only if you have a use for the extra potential...you'll be very happy with premiere pro.

Yea, Premiere Pro is a great package. I used to work exclusively in Premiere, and the new Pro versions are just...awesome. I have always had problems with it crashing (not as bad as FCP though!) so last year I started trying out different editors. I found Sonic Foundry's Vegas Video 4 (which was recently acquired by Sony, and the new version 5 has some great improvements/enhancements/additions) and started using that. It has yet to crash on me, and I have done well over 50 hours of editing on it. So, I pretty much have switched to Vegas. I still keep Premiere around though, as there are a few things it has/does that Vegas doesn't...plus I guess I just don't want to give it up all the way, I was raised with Premiere! Razz
