Ok so I have a question about integrating Motion 2 with FCP 5. First off, in Motion itself, the real time rendering seems really slow. I have one moving image, and two particle emitters going on at the same time, and it all moves at about 1/2 speed when I play it in Motion. If I add anything else to the composite, it slows down alot more. Secondly, when I insert this short motion title (6 seconds long) into the timeline of my sequence in FCP it wants to render it. Now when I try to render this short clip, it tells me its going to take 13 minutes! I cannot understand this at all. Also, if I don't render it right away, it pretty much brings the whole project to a grinding halt. The program keeps thinking about something, and its a huge pain. I'm running it all on a G5 2Gigahz dual procesor with 2 Gb of RAM, 400 Gb harddrive and Invidea GForce4 Titanium 256 Mb VRam video card, so I don't see why its going so slowly. Additionally, FCP 5 seems to me to be running slowly. I have about a 2 minute sequence, that has three video layers (2 for deinterlacing and one that basically adds a glow/diffuse look to the video). When I try to render it, it takes almost 10 minutes. Is this fast? I don't know, but it seems slow. Basically, I think its all running alot slower than it should, but this is my first time doing a project like this that requires alot of rendering, so I have nothing to compare these times to. I want to hear from anyone who has suggestions or similar experiences. Thanks
