We recently finished two feature films shot on HD 24P and have two distribution companies interested in our work. This sounds great, but the attention is coming a little soon, we need to find a really talented editor to put each of the films together. The director is award winning, the producer has a film at Sundance - we've got pedegree but no money, everyone is working for back end points. Any suggestions, or anyone have a really talented brother in law?

Wow! I'm surprised you made it this far without finding an editor. Either way, congrats.

Have you tried craigslist? How did you find everyone else involved? You must have had sizable crews...

Best way to find an editor in L.A.?

Throw a rock out your front window.

Seriously the editing will make or break the hard work you've put into this so don't even consider a free editor! The distributers will head for zee hillz if you get some hack editor to chop up a cut!

Take some time raise some funds and make sure the fine cut has some polish to it.

We're in LA. We have a distributor interested because the director's last film won the best of the fest at Breckenridge got distribution and made money. People really liked the project and worked on it for back end points, also the concept has gotten us meetings with people that wouldn't have taken the time to kick our collective asses six months ago. Good times, still need the kind of editor money can't pay for. Literally.

We're sending off media to several different states right now, the digital age. We're looking for people of extraordinary talent and vision. Also need to like the project, so check out the website. And let me know what you think.
