alright i just made a 30 minute short film and i opted to do ADR for everything. If i would have known the hell it would be, i would have recorded much better production sound. PLEASE HELP ME! is there any software or easy way to do this? I have nveer done it before and there is no going back...

The painter paints, the singer sings, the sculpter sculpts, but the director-he makes monuments.

umm, you didn't say what kind of technology you have, but Final Cut Pro has a really amazing voice over tool that really streamlines the process, assuming you can connect your V/O mic to the computer. I'm sure protools and others work great, but since I generally edit in FCP, it really streamlines the workflow for me.

I've done ADR before, but I always record on-scene audio as well. I don't ADR every line sometimes, and it's also good to keep the on-set audio for atmosphere noise.

I do it right in Sony Vegas, I have the actor listen to it a few times, then I have him/her say it, and then I match up the wave forms and delete the old one. I add a layer of ambient noise in it, and it works fine. It's not that hard. I've got a Presonus Inspire 1394 interface with a decent phantom powered XLR mic and a pop-filter. It works great for doing ADR.

Good luck with it.
