Hi,

I'm 16 and just finished my first short. And i've just finished editing it. But i was wondering if you could give me some feedback on the editing...and even just the film in general. So i can inprove it before sending it to the
intending comp.

It is kinda for younger kids. and was shot on the dvx100a. and at the moment, there is no color correction...do u think i need it?

here it is:

I liked it!

It was a simple story, but clever at the same time.

I dont know if you need color correction, the image looked fine, but with color correction you can add a whole lot of feeling to the image, change the mood. But i dont know if this story need it.

16, and already shooting on a dvx100a? Big Grin

I liked it too. Very well shot although the pace of it was kind of off. Also, some scenes had sound and others didn't. Try to make it as fluid as possible.

Howdy Dylan,

great to here the aussie voice over... (what state has the 05 fone number?)

I loved some of the shots in there and the colour was rich, I liked that as well, lol. With the sound, a good technique is to record uninterrupted background noise and then lay that in the bcakground so when you cut from one shot to another the sound doesn't seem jarred. Great job on the editing.

Another thing that just might be my personal preferance but I think it would have worked better if all shots were done with a tripod. That is just what I thought anyway.

good work on the first film.
