Yeah just to second what J. M. said it takes quite a bit of trial and error as well as many hours of study and practice to create high quality CGI. Better to find someone who already has the equipment and skills and farm that work out to them. You can check out a movie called "Despieser" by Philip Cook (I believe that is his name) it was shot on MiniDV and pretty much everything other then the actors is CGI. Some bizzare creatures in that. Not fantastic but pretty damn good on the no-budget level. Good luck. R. Michael "Luck, is when opportunity, meets preperation." "There are 3 sides to every story. Poser and Animation:Master are two hobbiest/indie-grade applications for doing this sort of CG work. I think both sell for under or around $300. Pros would likely use Maya for modelling, MotionBuilder for motion capture cleanup and character animation, then back over to Maya with MentalRay or RenderMan for rendering. Have fun.
