Yeah, once you justify spending 10x what you would on a PC and relearning what you innocently thought were universal controls and hot keys, it's tough to go back. Hardy-har-har.
Hey, what's the difference between FC Express and FC Pro? I've had the chance to dabble in Pro, but I've never used Express...

Please quantify that statement. Decent PC hardware is not really cheaper than a high-end Mac. Sure, you can get a $300 PC if you make yourself an AOL slave for two years, but who views those as legitimate for any kind of creative work?
Also, hot keys are far more intuitive on a Mac..
AFAIK, FCE has most of the features of FCP with the exception of some of the higher-level color correcting options and compression/mastering features. FCP also includes LiveType, Soundtrack, and Compressor.
i call neutrality in the mac vs. pc issue, we know i'm a PC guy. However, I did recently show someone how to edit on a Mac and it gets the job done just as well. To say one is better than the other is just a matter of opinion. Keep it a clean fight.
no, FCP wont run on a PC.

I use FCP at school on a regular basis and edit my own movies on Premiere on my PC at home, also on a regular basis. I like both equally. Yeh, it could be that the GUIs for both apps were designed by the same person but the learning curves on both are not that steep. I had macs (went from a PowerPC II to a beige G3, now to a G4) for the better part of my life until I decided to try the PC route and both were good experiences.
I will admit PCs can do a lot of what macs can for half the price-- until you start doing the stuff that needs the efficency and speed of a mac. But for entry-level work I can't see the justification for buying an apple.
Of course, we're not entry-level filmmakers here, are we?

What features does FCP have that Premier doesn't and vice versa? Ah the heck with it. Someday, I won't worry with an Avid system.
