Im editing a movie in Final Cut and I want to grab a still. But, when I grab fram all I get is those stills that are half movie or missing lines. Anyone know how I can grab a good solid still?

Go to File > Export > Quicktime Movie and choose Still Frame from the type pop-up in the save dialog.

you need to use a de-interlace filter to get rid of the "missing lines" than just flow the doughnut's steps

Yeah, I forgot to say, you can also use the deinterlace filter in Photoshop.

Of course! I've never bothered using the de-interlace in Photoshop, that's cleaned up all of my stills perfectly. I never bothered because it never seemed to do squat when I used it in FCP. Danke.
