Just to render a 1 minute clip in Vegas, with music, takes longer than I thought it should. Would getting more RAM help alot?

I can get an hour and half video with titles, no music in about 40 minutes with a gig of RAM. Hope that helps answer your question.

Sweet, another Vegas user. Cool

How long did it take to render? What file type were you rendering as? If you're trying to render the clip as .mov, you have to expect longer rendering times. However, a one minute clip with music shouldn't take long at all. I put together a 4 minute 30 sec. outtake reel for my contest video, and it took no longer than 15 minutes to render it as an .avi file. I'd say that a one minute clip shouldn't take longer than five mintues to render.

Make sure that you only have Vegas and any other programs needed for editing running. If you have multiple things running while trying to edit, you'll be slowed down quite a bit. And yes, more RAM would help. Give us some specs.
