I didn't read the whole article (yawn), but I don't think it'll happen for a long time for two reasons: 1. FCP (like most of apple's motion graphics apps) is said to take advantage as much as possible of the hardware (rather that being more of a software/cpu based app). To port FCP to a windows-based pc would probably mean redesigning the app from the ground up. 2. It's clear Apple's recent strategy is to provide professional level apps at a very low price to gain/maintain their market share (and make their money by selling hardware). [The 'motion' software designer, Greg Niles, implied he was suprised/displeased with apple's low pricing of motion.] If apple were to port their apps to windows-based machines, it would defeat the purpose of their new marketing strategy. it'll never happen... FCP, the hardware and the OS are all tied together to tightly. joren is right. | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Wodehouse

also, if Apple ever released OSX or FCP in a pc compatible form - they'd be securing their role as a software company and killing off their own hardware. far too many people wouldn't care or know that it worked better on a mac and they'd all buy dells and load them up with apple ported software. apple may have a bad marketing department - but not THAT bad | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." i sincerly hope apple does not drive out Photoshop and Illustrator. they are, by far, the most advanced and perfected programs i have ever worked with, in any field. they are flawless, well, alsmost. After Effects is really nice too... it seems it will co-exist with Motion to me, at least, i hope so. hey. I tried to start a new topic here, but was unable to. Don´t know if it´s my mac or this site is having trouble. Or maybe I just didn´t understand it.. Please excuse my rudeness, but I need to know the answer. How, and in what program can I flip the intire image 90 degrees, like you can with stills in photoshop if you took a portrait framed pic? Again. Sorry for starting something new and unrelated on this thread.
