I really need time lapse video of different weather skies over a few days, and I don't have time or security to shoot it. I can divide the different days up, so no match is necessary. Is there any site, preferably free that can provide this?

i doubt you will find free DV quality footage out there, but you might in a stock footage collection, but it'll cost for sure. Just set up a camera, digital or otherwise, on a tripod out a window, put some weight on the legs and tighten everything real good, and snap a photo perdioically. Dump them all into an NLE, set a sjort duration for all of em, and you have your own. If you make it all tight enough you shouldnt notice bumps from hitting the shutter and turning it on and off. The weight on the legs should help that too.

Like I said I was short on time, the deadline for the premiere passed and im just going to add it in for the next time. I found a great dvd with weather time lapse on ebay. I could film it with my sony cam which is the only brand to have a neat time lapse feature, but I want to have rain and thunder as well, which could damage my cam.

most cameras bring remotes now don't they? that way you wouldn't even have to touch it.

i think ulead has something where you can set intervals for when it should capture video off a live source (your camera) and it'll just put each frame on after the other.

if you just used a battery and shot it out the window of your house it doesn't seem like rain and thunder would be that much of a threat to the camera.
