Im shooting a short car chase scene in the city and i need good engine sounds. Its hard to capture the sound directly from the cars because of the ambient noises of other traffic and such, and the camera's mic wont pic it up to well. Im using a 2004 Acura Tl and a 93 Mx3 with a modified tailpipe...so i cant use the "Ford mustang v8" sounds i always find because...any sudgestions?

Hey, I have been pondering the same idea. I have come up with a few ideas.
- Buy/use a lavalier mic and place it in the engine compartment or some where that sounds real good. Make sure that you use a windscreen.
- You can buy a real good directional mic.

Just a few ideas
