Hey, I have a project, 2 cameras a one location filming at the same time, Now i was wondering while I am watching my video I have it in my main interface that 4 viewer windows are set up, to view my project, is there a way that when i push play to view my project that one viewer window will show the top video clip on the timeline and the other viewer window will show the bottom clip in the timeline. I do not need multicam, i know how to use it. I see that FCP has the tendency to view the clip on the top of the timeline in the viewer pane. This is really annoying when i want to watch a clip beneath it so i have to blank out all the other clips so i can watch one by itself. Is there anyway to get around this? Or by having two viewer windows, one showing the bottom clip and the other showing the top, WITHOUT multicam.

I don't know what you're doing, but the way you're going about things seems to be wrong. Are you using prerecorded footage or capturing live in FCP? If you're simply cutting prerecorded footage from two cameras you just need to trim the clips so the video tracks don't cover one another. If 'one viewer window' shows one clip and the 'other' shows the other, that's because you have one clip selected and it will play in the other viewer window. You should learn the difference between the viewer window and the Canves. The Canvas plays whatever is on your timeline, and a video on a new track will cover footage below it.
I know the difference between the viewer window and the canvas...
For my purposes I want to view the top track and the bottom track in two seperate viewer windows i play back my project so i can see what is happening in them, since they are not always synced i can't use multicam, I was wondering how i could do this.
So next time if you don't have an answer then don't say anything. thank you
