Usually I'm the one giving advice on Premiere, but I just got a new Mac and a new Premiere 6.5 and I'm confused right now.

When I try to export the timeline to tape, The screen just turns black and nothing happens. Now, I'm no expert on Premiere 6.5, but when I had my older version of Adobe on my PC, a little thing would come up with device control and preroll options and whatnot. Yeah, this doesn't. It just goes black. That can't be right. And it doesn't play the movie... at all. Not on my desktop or on the camera.

Yes, my firewire is connected and it does work. I was able to capture a movie with it, I just can't export it to a new tape to make my copy.

What the hell?

HELP!

I dont know about 6.5 but i have 6.0 and the screen will always go black and the movie will just play on the camera, but i would check the "activate recording deck" option when you set the preroll time, also check the exporting prefences. Hope it helps.
