Those were some nice pics. its weird to see the everyday shots of japan, and not the glorified pictures in those travel books.

That goes for pretty much every place on Earth. I went to New Zealand expecting to be living in the Lord of the Rings 7 days a week, but it was not so.
Go to a book store and look at the pictures in the Lonely Planet USA guide, and then look out the window. I rest my case.
Nice photos – I especially like the one looking down on to the graveyeard. It has some really nice light in it. And the tetrapods were cool too (the big concrete shapes piled up along the shore)... actually did a photo series about them a while back.
