I was just wondering, has anyone on this site ever been recognized by IMDB? Not just forfilms you've done or films on this site, butif you were a PA maybe or anything. I was just thinking about this today and since I don't know anyone's real name I couldn't look it up.
I've worked on a few productions that are listed on IMDB, and many others not listed. You can get a film you've directed onto IMDB although a few things must be in order first: I can think of a couple: Your film (if you directed it) has to have received an award or have been screened at a legitimate film festival or on television, you can mix and match. There are really about 100 rules and instructions IMDB has to post a film.
IMDB is very careful what they post on their site and they will review thoroughly what you try to add. It's a good site and most of the film industry uses it.
The one film I posted on IMDB that I wrote and directed was "Neighborhood Watch" I did that one back in 2001, I'm currently working on a script for a full-length feature version of it. I posted "Neighborhood Watch" on IMDB a few years back because I wanted it to be listed for the year I made it (2001) copyright reasons and all. Not that the "neighborhood watch" is copyrightable, but my storyline idea for it is.
Anyway, it's not much on IMDB but you can still see what I've worked on. I haven't posted the rest of my short films because I don't feel they are legitimate enough to post. Someday I have a legitimate one, someday.
My film, THE LOST, is on IMDB. It was ina couple film festivals, and I didn't submit anything, I jsut decided to search my name and it was on there! My agent then sent my biography in, but then wht was weird is that they even have trivia on me!
