First, good news. I have a sweet car. It's white and it's an Audi and its cool, and it's fast because the engine was chipped, thanks to me, the rims are new and large and shiny and gunmetal, thanks to me, and it has a cool body kit, and it has a system that play DVD's. Bad news. My dad has just forced me to have a "Viper" tracking system in my car, which tells him my speed, location, and emails him when I go over 80 mph. You have to realize, 80 mph is my base. In the city. I can't live more than a day and a half without letting all 280 horses gallop to full strength. If anyone here has any idea how I would go about disabling this system, your help would be much appreciated, and I would do my best to rescind your efforts, even though I'm broke so no cash. I don't know maybe a screenplay. Anyway I am extremely extremely desperate to get this damned thing out of my f*ckin car. My dad is unfortunately, ironically, a "fuc*in fascist!"

Damn man your car looks all sweet. Sounded real good. Now all of a sudden you just suck because you cant use it lol. JK... man i dunno i didnt even know they had those kind of things that email him that really sucks dude. How does it email him exactly? Its got to connect to the internet somehow... figure out how it connects and dissconect that aspect of it whenever you speed then just hook it back up when your not in it. I dont know anything about cars though, so pardon me if i sound like an idiot. Just thought id take a guess with you lol good luck.

I agree with Evan, don't speed.

Infact, I'll take it a step further and say that if everyone had one of those in their car reporting to the authorities, I think people would be much less apt to drive like wankers. Consider yourself a man leading a revolution towards driving like a respectable human being.

In all seriousness, I'm not sure if disabling it would even work. If I'm correct in my assumption, the Viper also keeps track of theft. If it gets disabled, I'm sure it phones home and says so. You're probably screwed.

If you really drive 80 MPH in the city, then you deserve to be on a leash.

Something makes me think your dad bought you the car...in which case, he has every right to track where it goes. It's a shame you feel the need to speed so compulsively.

That said, the thing's gotta run off of power, probably the car's. Find the lead to it running from the battery, and wire it to a switch. Turn it off when you're driving, turn it on when you're not...I guess.

If its an anti-theft tracker I seriously doubt you can fool it by disconnecting the power or internet. It'll have backup batteries, and all sorts of other things.

I bet eventually you'll disable it on your own. Head on collisions disable most unneeded car electronics.

But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

The only time I speed is when I'm late for something. Even then, I usually only do 10 over the speed limit tops, and even then I feel really guilty and sort of wreckless.

I don't understand what the big deal with speeding is. Usually I do anywhere from the speed limit to 5 miles over, yet people are always racing past me or riding my ass. And I'm talking on a Sunday afternoon. It's not even people being in a hurry, people just seem impatient, like they have to win some sort of imaginary race.

And only dumb guidos go around racing and speeding for the "thrill" of it. Get over yourself and your car, you deserve to be treated like a little kid.

Apparently your behavior with the car is very important to him (or else he wouldn't have spent $600 on a tracking system), so I wouldnt cross the line. If he figures out that your abusing your privilege, he could very easily replace your Audi with a bicycle
or (even worse) a Ford.

He will get an email update every month of all of the cars activity, and if he sees there is absolutely no recorded motion of the car it may cause him to be suspicious.
The better option is to just go with the rules and prove yourself trustworthy, and then he is more likely to become more lenient in the future

If you need a trustworthy mechanic, you can try asking on SpeedyWord. I go there all the time for services that you basically need trusting.. and I can tell from your post that you wouldn't want the mechanic telling your dad. Big Grin

Hey cool I didn't know you lived in Miami. What's so bad about not going over 80? There's no speed limits over 80 around here.

Hello speed racer. I asume the car was purchased by your dad? And you have the balls to call him a fascist? You are a brat young boy. When you have an accident and kill an innocent person are you going to call your fascist dad to help you. He probably pays for your insurance, college stay and room etc. I wish I had a fascist dad like yours man. Good luck with disabling the tracker, they are almost imposible to disconnect Smilect.
