Ok, so someone came in and applied for a job today, and I looked over his resume real quick to make sure he had everything filled out for my boss.
Handwriting was terrible! So if I were boss, my first impression would be: "He didn't take the time to fill it out nicely, why should I hire him?"
It took me that 10 extra seconds to read the things he had filled out.
Am I the only one who thinks this way, or should I not see so much into someone's handwriting?
I mean, even doctors, when necessary, take the time to write nicer.

but when your filling out something that will be important, don't you take the time to make sure its legible?

UR not crazy but I think you need to look deeper than a person's handwriting if your company is not a large corporation where it takes a long time to hire a person...I mean if your boss could meet the guy...he/she needs toget to know them...but if that's not possible then go with legible handwriting...definitely ...because it show's they know it's important
If I was hiring I would want someone to fill it out in pen so it doesn't fade.
and I think the fact that we're a small corporation has a lot to do with it, but I don't agree with your stance. That means we want people who show they care. We have a lot more to risk when we hire a bad employee.

Can you scan the application the application and post it on the site so we can all give a better informed response? Or would that be risking your job, a fine or a jail sentence? Haha.

thought about, but then I would end up having to black out a lot of the info, so its it wouldn't make a difference, lol.
