If you didn't know the World Cup started last Friday. I can't take too long typing stuff cause the USA is about to play it's first game in a few minutes.

The Australians played earlier today and beat Japan 3-1 scoring all their goals in the last 8-10 minutes. It was quite impressive, congrats to all you Australians out there.

Wow yeah that was terrible. 3-0 loss to the Czech Republic. We need to do better on defense too, Onyewu made a couple of mistakes that really cost us. They gave the Czechs so much room to move.

A bit old now, but Australia was robbed! We were 0-0 with Italy in the last minute and then they got the softest foul you'll ever see. Worst decision ever. And we would have beaten Ukraine too!
Anyway it should be a good final. The cup is going back to Europe.
For those who aren't aware:
Germany VS Italy
Portugal VS France
The winners will meet in the final. My money's on Germany.

I was SOOO happy when Brazil lost. Idk I just don't like them much, they're too easy to like. I was at soccer camp last week and all these freaking 11-13 years olds were running around glorifying Brazil, and I bet they didn't even know any of the players other than Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, lol. Hopefully France will win the Cup, but Germany probably will with the home advantage and all.

I can see what you mean. They're like the Yankees of soccer.

I got up at 4:30 this morning to watch Italy VS Germany. What time is it on over in the US? I hate getting up early.

Anyway, good win from the Italian's. (good thing I didn't actually put any money on it) It looked like it was going to go to a shootout but after 118 minutes they scored (then got another a moment later). So the host nation is out, and Italy are into the final. I reckon they could go all the way.

Who's going to win tonight? I really don't know, or care. I'll just watch it unbiased.

Italia! Italia! Italia!
Anyone else laugh when the French captain headbutted the Italian dude in the chest?

The thing that really annoys me is the way players take dives or act hurt in soccer. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure players do get hurt sometimes and can sustain very painful injuries, but the majority of the time they just look so pathetic playing for free kicks and trying to attract attention. We have AFL and Rugby here, both very physical contact sports, and I'm a lot of you have similar such sports where you're from, and when I see the soccer players rolling around in agony, getting stretchered off and then coming back on five minutes later it just gets too me. Anyway, its not important. I just felt like typing that.

The headbutt was pretty funny, but it was also a very shameful end to that guy's career. He had announced that he was retiring after this game, then he goes and does something stupid and gets kicked out of the game, and then his team loses.

That missed penalty kick by France was huge. That cost them the game.

I thought that headbutt was all around the best part of the entire game... Then again I'm not much of a soccer fan... the sport just bores the hell out of me.
