ANZAC day is something we celebrate here in Australia for those who died and fought in battle on the shores of Gallipoli during WWI. It is a VERY important day in the Australian year, also, it's a public holiday  And no, I didn't go to any ANZAC event today. Was planning to go to the city for the parades but it's a dreary day today... was drizzling earlier and I have work at 5.

i was going to ask if any Americans here knew what ANZAC's are. Or if they knew about Gallipoli or the Kakoda Trail. I'm sure any pommies here would be able to tell me about Gallipoli seeing as though the English fought alongside the ANZACS and the Indian troops. Anyways, ANZAC day is also great for 2-up!  |
