Okay, so I had never watched The O.C. before tonight. I never really had any interest in it. But tonight I had nothing else to do and nothing else to watch, so I watched it with some friends in the dorm.
As many of you know, there are MANY attractive girls on the show. The whole time me and my buddies were joking about a lesbian scene. And what happens at the end? JUST THAT.
Did anyone else see this? On the previews for next week, two of the hottest girls on the show are undressing together. ALL MY DREAMS.....HAVE JUST COME TRUE.
You should have seen our room when they showed the commercial. We were all sitting on the edges of our seats, gazing at the screen. And when they showed that scene, everyon erupted. It was a celebration. We all went screaming into the hall.
So, as sad as this is......I've beceome immediately addicted to the O.C.
I can't stand the OC. Seriously the dumbest crap I've ever seen.
Durden! YOUR IN A DORM!!!!! In all the college movies there's always hot lesbians in the room nextdoor!!!! FIND 'EM!!!!
As for lesbians, I love 'em, but I get bored from watching them (Especially the ones on TV), they hardly ever do anything new or original. But if I do wanna see some, I'll search the internet.

I think the reason it is so hot is that it's not some random porn star that has no personality. It's two characters in a show that have very distinct, sweet, girl next door personalities. And the characters really like each other. It's got depth. It's not just meaningless.
Listen to me trying to justify the O.C. I swear, I never would have done this 2 hours ago. I hated the O.C.! But when I finally gave it a chance, they just HAD to throw in the lesbian stuff. They did it on purpose....I know they did.
funny you mention that, I find most women (& people) lack original personality (I blame TV for this) Thats why I find lesbians in TV shows so stupid, they always seem to be the same and u can spot them from a mile away.

Maybe it's cause I'm Canadian, but I've never understood the fascination with lesbians. Maybe it's cause they are always percieved as the hottest girls in the world (hate to burst the bubble but most legitimate lesbians I've seen are NOT hot). I find the view of lesbians and gays for that matter in the US very ironic, they are descriminated against by their gov't but when it comes time to make some high ratings off of em, it is done in a heartbeat. From my view, it's really pathetic and the main reason (other than the Bush gov't of course) that I refuse to enter US soil. I mean consider 60's television exploiting the the civil rights movement and all that, cause the fight for gay rights is today's equivalent.

Yah I'll admit I've watched The O.C. a couple of times [when it first aired]. It was interesting for a second, but after awhile I just gave up. Waay too much drama and it just looks like the show is a cry for help from Fox to get some programming on their network other than the horrendous thing that we call "reality tv." Plus, it's just another thing for teenagers to mimic or talk about just to annoy the living **** out of me. Oh yeah, and please don't get me started on that horrible song. The guy singing sounds corny as all hell.

I think it is a very important topic, we are discussing important social issues and how they are portrayed (both accurately and inacurately) in our medium of film and television. What good is our medium if we don't explore real life and real issues?

Durden, you have no idea that what you described as occuring in your dorm happened so many times last year in my dorm. There were so many moments in different episodes that sent literally 8, straight, sportsloving guys into a huge uproar about what just happened on the OC. And then we could hear the same thing coming from all the other rooms, it was quite surreal. I have no way of explaining how this happened over and over again, because the OC is really a girl show when you get down to it. Maybe its just a mystery of the universe, but me and my friends and most of the other guys on my floor watched it religiously.

If you're a dork, which you most assuredly are, how can you not love the O.C.? Well, pretty easily, fine, but how can you at least not love Seth Cohen, the king of all dorks. I mean this guy is pretty much a social reject who ends up with two very fine women, of course he picks the hotter one over the one with closer interests. Still if there ever was a reason that show was good, it was him. When I say I liked the O.C. it sounds like I'm saying, "I liked it when it was undergound," which sounds pretty stupid, but the show was under the radar for awhile, it wasn't until seeing MTV and other such crap hyping it up that I got sick of it and gave it up. As far as the lesbians go. I love lesbians, or at least, love watching to attractive women getting it on. Sex with no male involvement is the way to go if you're going to be a voyeur. But, I'm sick of the fact that within the past five years or so that it has become a trend and a gimmick for chicks to act like lesbians, it takes all the fun out of it. It's no so special anymore when everyone's doing it. And that kind of just doubles back to my feelings for the O.C.
