I just received this message from JW, who some of you remember from the times long ago, before he vanished from SF.com to travel the world for 9 months. He wanted me to say hi for him, and tell everyone that he's OK.

-----

Hey Perry. I haven't got much time but I just popped into an internet cafe to check my email and I wanted to say hey to you and see how things are, and also was wondering if you wouldn't mind telling everyone at the site that I say hello and am okay. I've gotten a bunch of emails from various people but don't have time to respond to all of them. I just got back from a 31-day expedition to Botswana, Zambia, and Namibia - drove over 7000 km in a Land Rover through the Kalahari and the Okavango Delta and Namib desert etc. Am now back in South Africa tracking the baboons and am absolutely exhausted out of my mind. Have a few more months to go but am very much looking forward to getting back to the USA. Africa is a rough place. Anyway hope you're well and if you have a chance please pass on that message to everyone.

Thanks,

J

Awesome! He better have some great photos/footage when he gets back, lol. Just wondering Perry but do you know if he has plans to make a documentary out of this trip? Or is this just more for fun?

Man, it's hard to believe someone his age is so well traveled.

I was strongly encouraging him to make a doc out of this... I'm not sure what his plans are as of now. My guess is that a doc is in the works.
