Hey I'm thinking about getting this camera, does anyone know of any reasons why i shoudn't. It would be super duper to get a consumer report since it will be costing me a chunk of change

I'm not privy on HD cams. Sony makes good stuff. But if you want to go HD i would say go for the panisonic (HVX200) that takes the P2 cards. They are deffenately on the front of compact HD cams.
