Apparently this topic has been alive for sometime, but I was unaware. According to the following video and other written sources, what struck the Pentagon on 9/11 COULDN'T have been the same type of aircraft, a commercial airliner, that struck the World Trade Center. Watch this video and it will be sure to make you think. Form your own opinion, I'm sure we'll get some mixed comments on this thread.
no. not watching it. sick of fight club music. it rates up there with the friggen requiem for a dream soundtrack. i've got theories about what hit the pentagon. plus, remember the plane that 'crashed' in PA? that was actually shot down, as rumor has it it was headed towards the white house.

There's nothing people like more than a good conspiracy theory, but this one, like most others, just doesn't hold water when one looks at outside evidence.
Yeah, that's very interesting. I don't believe much of it, but the snopes site doesn't answer all of the questions either. It's like answering the question of whether Kurt Cobain was murdered or not, we'll never know.
the plane in PA was not shot down, but yes a plane was shot down. that plane though was kept a secret by the government b/c they didnt want people to know they shot down a US plane. my theory is they shot down this plane, and well they needed a cover up. they know this plane would have gone somewhere important in DC, and since the pentagon had a huge section evacutated for repairs, why not hit it and harm no one? so they shoot a missle or a small plane or whatever that was into the pentagon, and say that was the plane that they shot down.
saw that ages ago.. intriguing, but hard to believe.
and... i really doubt the us would purposely hit the pentagon to cover up having shot down a plane.
they wanted to, and needed to shoot down those planes. no one would have been able to blame them. the pilot who was sent to do it said he didn't have permission, because only a few people can authorize that and they hadn't responded yet (they were reading my pet goat, and things like that)

I'm going to take you all one further... My question is why terrorists would send a plane to crash into the white house while Bush was in Florida reading "My Pet Goat." You would think a group of terrorists who could take over a plane with a box cutter would have the mental capacity to consider that Bush wasn't in the whitehouse and would easily find that he was in Florida, then would send an assasin to the school and kill him. See, I'm Canadain, and not being american we think of things like this, and that's why I'm convinced that 9/11 is an inside job planned by the US gov't. Now some of you might be saying "what kind of a gov't would attack themselves? That's stupid!" My answer to that, "the same type of gov't who would shoot down and cover up the assasination of their president back in 1963." Think about it.

The purpose of hitting the White House was not to kill the President, but rather to demoralize the American people by tearing down all those things that symbolize their country. Assassinating Bush would be ridiculous since we all ready have someone named who would take his spot. That's why the planes hit American Icons such as the Pentagon, WTC, and thankfully not, the White House. (Think of how many important papers would be obliterated in the second that plane hit). I'm sure somewhere in their plans they had The Golden Gate Bridge and The Lincoln Memorial.

I would now like to take this oppourtunity to apologize on behalf of Canada for the burning of your White House during the War of 1812, I hope we can put it into the past. I was also surprised they didn't hit the Statue of Liberty, I bet even today the French would still build you a new one though.

I got no problems with Canada! There pretty cool up there.
And why is my reasoning lame? It makes sense. Back in the old days the armies would burn all that resembled their enemy. Flags, symbols, etc, hence demoralizing their foe. The same principal applies to today. I'm sure the terrorists would have hit the Statue if they could have, but something must have been in the way.
