A very interesting and well written article. Extremely cynical and a lot of it is opinionated, but I still love it.

To be honest, I found the article pretentious, obvious, and supported by anecdotal evidence that is only convincing if you submit completely to their argument.

I also take offense at the flimsy barrier the authors construct: if you don't agree with them completely, you're just one of the mindless jerks they're talking about.

I think we're all quite aware of the often dubious subtext of commercial television- we don't need these self-important Fascists to explain it to us.
