Wow, just wow. I got Tiger today and installed it on my iBook and it's truly unbelievable. Dashboard is so awesome if you want news and information in a press of a button. Even Spotlight, where you can find anything on your computer whenever you need, with a press of a button of course. Oh man, I can't even explain how cool it is, you guys with Macs are just going to have to get it to see for yourself. It's truly worth it. MACS RULE!

How fast is your iBook, and does Tiger seem any slower than Panther on it? Or faster?

Definatly faster. My iBook has a 1.07 GHZ processor and 728 MB of RAM. It's not that much, but it still goes fast.

Sweet! I've been slightly hesitant to install it on my 867mhz G4 because I was afraid it might bog it down... but it sounds awesome! Did they really get rid of the iSync app? I heard that to sync devices you'd now need a .mac account... which seems absurd! All I want to do is sync my palm now and then.

I was wondering, can you add new metadata to files to help Spotlight find them?

Hmmm. I've never tried, but I'm pretty poitive you can, since it finds every file on your computer. Spotlight indexes everything so fast, so everytime you add a file, it automatically knows what's in it, and all around it. It's a great feature.
