Anyone ever take the time to flip through some of their older posts? Wow, I think I learned more in 15 posts on Studentfilms.com than I did in 4 years of college (video school, maybe?)! Whatever, I just wanted to know has everyone else found Studentfilms.com to be as helpful as I?

Thanks, Chris and everyone who has helped, rock!

-Waiting for another Studentfilms.com contest!

Totally! We've got some smart people here, and everyone's combined knowledge is easily enough to take over Hollywood. Trouble is, we can't all hide inside one body.

Not to chase anyone off StudentFilms, but if you're looking for technical help in any aspect of video production, DVinfo.net has some absolutely great forums with many, many helpful adults who know what they're doing. Most of them are in the business themselves and can answer any questions you may have, if you can't get them answered here.

I love reading my old old posts, and seeing how bad of movies I liked, before I realized that there were films made befor 1992. Back then I used to just assume what everyone else said was right (critics etc...), but I've found this site to be a great gateway into art. I started watchign crappy Kubrick and Tarantino, the I got into Jarmusch and Smith which led to Cassavetes and Kent, a nice step by step process to ease my way into the real world.

After reading this thread, I looked back at my old posts, and remembered my obsession with having each forum have my name next to it as having the last post in that forum, for some reason i thought that was really cool.

I don't set out to make "art" I just try to make something with a beginning, middle, end, and some characters...the art seems to come during the process.

Hey, we're all living in this world together, we can lock out posts and delete threads, but we can't deny that the small burrowing animals of the amazon are part of our world too!

Regardless of what the picture was, and I admit, it was difficult to be 100% sure, what it implied was unacceptable.

You guys know I'm not here to babysit - I'm all for a bit of fun - but there are certain lines which I cannot let you cross. People of all ages (remember, it's STUDENT films) visit this site, not to mention industry professionals.

I have to admit, that site is pretty clever once I bothered to click the links.

Here's an idea for a Student Films article. Not so much an article, but a huge list of links to the most informative or "educational" posts on these forums.

I don't know if this would work as I don't know if this forum deletes posts after they get really old, but I know I'd read through it for sure. I wouldn't know where to start, but if someone who's been here for awhile were willing...
