Well its really easy to get one. You just search on google for buddy icons or something. Then on your own website you put the buddy icon there. when you are creating your profile here and on the avatar part, all you do is put the URL of your buddy icon on your website in the custom avatar section.

Example: http://www.yoursite.com/YourBuddyIcon.gif

To get an animated avatar, you just need to link to an animated GIF image. The best way to find them is to goto images.google.com and do an andvanced image search. Set the file type to .gif, select medium size, then click search. Googles previews do not show the animations, so if you think something might be animated, click on it then view it in its origianal form.

You can also MAKE your own animated gifs. Ulead makes a good program for this. You can also use Adobe Photoshop with Image Ready. You save each frame of the animation as a seperate layer in PS, then use Image Ready to make them animated.

that's the complicated way to make one.

...because it was yet another contradictory post. He said people should get more original avatars, yet he stole his off some spider man site.

I feel like we're ganging up on him, but he should really let sleeping dogs lie.
