I actually have an mp3 player, but asked for an ipod because the thing is such a piece of crap. I have to take out the battery, put it back in, twirl it around, smack the device a few times, then repeatedly hit the on button before I can get it to start working. Not only that, but it screwed up a bunch of my songs, which now skip or don't play at all. BTW, thanks for suggesting the cange in headphones guys, I think I'll use the ones that came with the crappy mp3 player instead of the white buds.

The arguement that a lot of people get ipods to 'be part of a club' definetly holds up in some cases. My statistics teacher was talking to us about what he was buying his daughter, an eight year old, for Christmas. He told us she was getting harrassed on the school bus because she didn't have an ipod, so he was basically forced to buy her one. I think he bought her a shuffle.
