I invite everyone to join me tonight (especially you Hill and Kyle,) in a new tradition I'm starting up of watching, and playing a drinking game to, the Academy Awards. For every (more than likely) stupid movie that undeservedly wins an Oscar I'm goin to take a drink. For every speech that goes on too long, two. In all honesty I hope to ****faced drunk by the third commercial break.

In a surprise twist the Oscar judges changed the vote at the last minute, invalidating Kyle's prediction.
I was really stunned that Crash won. Not to say it didn't deserve it but simply because it's so out of character for the Oscars to choose that kind of movie.
Also, a shout out to John Canemaker, Professor of Animation at NYU for his win!

damn i wish chronicles of narnia would've won visual effects...i loved aslan so much more than kong.
i'm glad that brokeback didn't have the blow out wins everyone expected. i haven't seen it, but it just seems like people are liking it because of the hype (i may be wrong though)
thats why i have no respect for the academy awards. i remeber two years ago eminem won the oscar and i dont think he even showed. then people like scorsese who's been working in the industry for 40 years gets the shaft.

yeah, but Scorsese hasn't made a real film in over 30 years, but at least hes gotten help from a lot of ppl in the industry, not like poor altman, whos been **** on for years, its a shame he actually showed up to get his honourary oscar. i remember they were gunna give brando and honourary oscar, but only if he would show up to accept it

Wow, someone had his panties in a twist about Brokeback Mountain not winning best picture. Maybe that guy had a few less seabreezes than I did, but I don't know if I were even that critical of it. What he says about Jon Stewart, though, is the most irritating. Stewart was easily the best part of the show.

it kinda sounds like that guy's just pissed cause brokeback lost...i'm surprised he didn't try to pull the ever famous "they just didn't pick it cause they're homophob's" deal.
