Hey all, I was just curious how many of you have been in rollover accidents before.
I had my first a couple days ago. Rolled my grandpas truck. Not fun. AT 80 miles an hour it rolled 8 times, ended right side up, and the entire passenger side was crushed. Thank God I was the only person in the truck. I was lucky to get out of the car on my own with only scrapes and bruises. My biggest injury was a pretty bad puncture to the head, but thank God (again) thats all it was. My friends took some pretty nasty pics if you guys wanna see them . Anyways, I've been out of work for a week and been on Vicodin (I don't think thats how you spell it, but oh well). The doctors just wanna make sure the head wound was as minor as they think it is. I'm lucky to be alive, they all say. Heck, I'm lucky to come out with minimal injury. So, you guys got any nasty car accident stories?

Please, no more tragedies at studentfilms. People, sleep at least 6 hours per night. No daydreaming, editing/scriptwriting while driving car. Third rule: none film or shot is worth life (well is).

no more daydreaming? What the hell is driving for then? its either that or destroying all those silly laws and living on the edge! While either listening to NIN or Van halen.
Unfortunate occurence, brother, but you're well!

Yes, we all at least sometimes daydream while driving. It`s fun, but it diverts your attention from the road. That`s the point I wanted to point out. Daydreaming as cool it is may lead you to slide off the road, or in small collisions.
Its either that or destroying all those silly laws and living on the edge!
It`s your choice to live on the edge. I don`t myself want to play with death.

Unfortunately, the only reason I had to drive my grandpas truck was because I hadto go back home to grab a bunch of stuff because my dads a big (insert favorite curse) head. My parents are in th middle of a divorce and he broke into "our" house, even though hes not supposed to be there, while we were gone. So I was going to grab a bunch of my moms and siblings stuff. Anyways, I was pissed and wasn't paying attention, so I was looking for the wind shield wipers behind the gear shift (thats where they are in my car) and when I looked up, I pulled my hand pack and up and threw the car into park! Darwin arward right here!
Its not that I was being a carzy a driver, its just that stupid people were pissing me off and I wasn't thinking straight.

Jesus christ. I'm glad you're ok and doped up on vicodin.
It sucks that your parents are divorcing. Mine did it back in 1992, and the same sort of **** went down. It sucks.
At least with your Darwin award comment you seem to have some kind of sense of humor.
My car accident story? I was driving to lunch about a month after getting my license, someone runs a stop sign, I t-boned them. I've had two other accidents, also not my fault. I'm the only person who has totalled 2 cars, 3 accidents total, and not a single ounce of any of them were my fault. My car insurance is down to 80 dollars per month, which is low for a New Jersey driver under the age of 25. People drive like they're blind in New Jersey.
Take it easy man.

That sucks. --------------------------------------------- As a filmmaker I see all biographical dramatic situations as a material to use in my future films. That`s why I jot them down as fast as possible.

Thanks guys. Im sure one day I can turn all my anger and rage into a good story, but for now, (at the age of 19) I gotta figure out how to help my mom take care of three kids and help her find a job.
