I know, really...I grant that before I saw this video I did not have the clearest definition of suffrage (really, who does?), but I would think that most people would have enough common sense to know that suffrage can't literally mean "sufferage". Because, really, what could a petition do to stop something as vague as that all over the world? My guess is that perhaps all those girls were just feeling temporarily special about signing an actual petition (in front of a video camera, no less, meaning it MUST be important, lol...), so they probably just ignored its purpose or ulterior motives and did it to look like good, socially conscious people...or perhaps because it's hard to turn down a petition you don't have any strong feelings about. Am I too cynical or narrow-minded in my assertion? Yes? No?

Actually I think that's a pretty realistic assessment.

yeah i guess it was a mixture of plain stupidity...
and being caught on the spot with a dorky looking guy with a mike and a camera in your face...

The interviewer guy didn`t actually care nothing about the current headline subject. He just laughed at it. Well that tape was obviously meant to be a joke, but still it could have done even in a funnier way. This was maybe interviewer`s desperate effort to get attention of the opposite sex.

after the (re-)election of someone like bush, i would think most intelligent women would want to do everything possible to seperate themselves from those who use democracy to justify terrorism. can we blame them for that?
