I'm a wimpy, careful, person I've had the usual sprained ankles, wrists, thumbs. The worst injury was when I accidentally touched my arm with a 1000°F soldering iron. The skin made a nasty hissing sizzling sound and turned grey, and I didn't feel it until a couple hours later, and THEN it hurt. | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." I broke my ankle playing soccer. It was a big break too, not just a hairline fracture. My parents didn't believe me that it actually hurt, so they didn't take me to a doctor until I collapsed running to first base....THREE WEEKS LATER. During those three weeks, I also broke a couple fingers playing basketball (I thought my ankle had heeled). I looked like I had been in a car wreck or something. Along with those, I've sprained my ankles and wrists a couple times. I've broken a couple toes as well. I hurt my knee on a jet ski once. We had three people on it and we were jumping wakes. We hit a huge wake at top speed and all fell off. That screwed up my knee for a few weeks. My club soccer coach was pretty pissed about that one. Nothing really grotesque though. I have a friend who fractured his arm and the bone was sticking out. His arm still has a little crooked bend in it. And I have another friend who has broken the same arm 4 times. He had a metal plate in it for a while, and now has tons of pins in it.

i hate topics like these. the simplest of description of an injury gives me jitters.
my dad ran over me when I was little and my collar bone broke.
I've fallen off my bike many times, nothing but scrapes and bruises.
during freshman PE we were playing flag football, I was QB and a guy from the other guy blitzed me, my flag was hanging right over my crotch, so he grabbed it (Along with my crotch) and held on for a good three seconds, squeezing and pulling. I wanted to kill that f*** so bad after that, i felt pain from that for a whole week then finally went to the hospital where they found out I had testicular torsion (I'd rather not describe it, but it involves things getting tangled up) Apparently it went away after awile so I didn't need surgery, but lately I've been getting pain again, so I think it slowly came back. dynamite.
I've mentioned this before in another PAIN topic, that i've had poison oak "down there" aswell. That was the worst pain ever.

I've had my share of minor injuries. The only bone I've broken was my thumb. It got crushed between two heavy pieces of metal. I'll spare you the details of the incident. When I was very little, I fell on a flag stone and tore my knee open. Had to get 19 stitches. On Cape Cod a few years ago, I was out sailing when our boat capsized, and I was almost drowned by the sail. As soon as I got out from under it, the boom swung around at perhaps 40 or 50 MPH and smashed into the side of my head, which apparently erased my memory of the event. A few years later, I was cutting down a canvas tent with a friend in Rhode Island, and he slipped and drove his knife directly into my hand. From that, I learned to always stay at least an arm's length away from someone with a knife. Apart from assorted sprains and cuts and bruises, that's all I can think of right now. Unless you would include the time I was chased almost 2 miles by a swarm of hornets during a filming in a nearby forest. I got stung a few times.

I was in my martial arts class and someone accidentally hit my lower jaw. The back of my jaw got shoved out of place and stabbed into my ears. I quickly reached up and pushed my jaw back into place. I got really scared because I couldn't hear anything for a second. My eyes started to water immediately. Now I can move my jaw in and out of place at will. Sometimes it will just pop out on its own though.

I've been really blessed not to have broken anything. My worst accident was probably in the 3rd grade when I wrecked my bike going down a steep hill at the speed of light. My face looked like hamburger and I took stitches in my chin (before scraping rock and gravel from my chin bone). I still have the scar! Also, in the 6th grade, Drucilla broke my heart. (sigh)
