Anyone a fan of the band? I got their new cd today, and its just amazing. they won a grammy a few years ago, and 'rush of blood to the head' is on top 100 albums of all time. just wondering if anyone else got the cd or whatever.

is it me, or is the media promoting the HELL out that album? I see articles for it and advertisements everywhere.

To me, when Chris (the lead signer) tries to hit the high notes, it sounds like a half yodel, half hiccup.

I really like some of their songs, they've mastered the instruments but I'm starting to get sick of these self-pity bands.

yeah im gonna have to say... I have no idea aboutthe media promoting it... I don't listen to the radio and I have yet to see an ad on TV... I just like Coldplay and got the album... It is awesome. But as for self-pity band? I wouldn't consider them that... That would make them emo... and they truly are not an emo band.

well. i think trespesser may take it as a self-pitty band, which he deffinitally entitled to his oppinion, because they are fairly feminine, mainly because they talk about their feelings, or love, etc. and maybe in this over masculinized, fighting/hating society, maybe its just what we need. those are just my two cents really.

as for promoting it. i mean, its not being promoted like greenday or someone more mainstream, but their deffinitally popular with the 20-35 year old market. i really cant name anyone in my high school that likes them. but mtv and vh1 are all having their own specials on them. vh1 is having storytellers on tonite, at like 10 or soemthing. im just glad ive liked them since their first album came out, so that i know i liked them before they really hit it big.

but im seeing them live!!! september 3rd at pnc bank arts center! so excited for that. im actualy taking a train home from syracuse just to see them
