When You Were Young by The Killers
Jaan Pahechan Ho (Ghost World Soundtrack)
Tropicalia by Beck
Heartbeats by The Knife OR the cover by Jose Gonzalez
Where Does the Good Go? by Tegan and Sara
In Deux Time by Deux Process (free song on iTunes)

If that's not eclectic, I don't know what is.

Actors? What actors?

Porcupine TRees'-Blackest Eyes

A mother sings a lullaby to a child
Sometime in the future the boy goes wild
And all his nerves are feeling some kind of energy

A walk in the woods and I will try
Something under the trees that made you cry
It's so erotic when your make up runs

I got wiring loose inside my head
I got books that I never ever read
I got secrets in my garden shed
I got a scar where all my urges bled
I got people underneath my bed
I got a place where all my dreams are dead
Swim with me into your blackest eyes

A few minutes with me inside my van
Should be so beautiful if we can
I'm feeling something taking over me

Oingo Boingo - Stay

This is not the first time--You tried to get away
This is not a party--Where people know your name
This is not a classroom--With teacher at the board
This is not a catshow--With prizes at the door

CHORUS
Go--Don't you go
Won't you stay with me one more day
If we get through one more night
If we get through one more night

This is not a horse race--Where winners beat the time
This is not a funeral--With mourners in a line
This is not a sitcom--Where everything's alright
This is not a prison--With terror through the night.

CHORUS

Wall Of Voodoo - Far Side Of Crazy

I'm Pilate and Jesus
And I wept when Lennon died
Yet I envied his assailant
When I visited the shrine
I cried for all those Beatle fans
So old so quick they grow
I follow the example to destroy
What I love most

And I remain on the far side of crazy
I remain the mortal enemy of man
No hundred dollar cure will save me
Can't stay a boy in no man's land

I once hid my lust for stardom
Like a filthy magazine
I stroked the shaft of my guitar
And watched you on the screen
I've become now what I wanted
To be all along
A psychopathic poet
The Devil's bastard son

And I remain on the far side of crazy
I remain the mortal enemy of man
No hundred dollar cure will save me
Can't stay a boy in no man's land

I shot an actor for an actress
But he lived to make a joke
Shot two other men who could have been
The bodies of my folks
I stagger toward the future
I stagger day to day
Plot revenge inside of darkness
I am withering in pain

And I remain on the far side of crazy
I remain the mortal enemy of man
No hundred dollar cure will save me
Can't stay a boy in no man's land

I find it interesting that people are listing individual songs - no one listens to entire albums any more?

actually ive started doing that, just getting the whole album as one song in itself on my mac so that i cant skip through it.

i was really listening to Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited when i stumbled onto this thread again, but didn't know what song i was listening to so i just put it on shuffle to get a couple song lyrics to post, most recently full albums ive been listening to are:

Bob Dylan
Highway 61 Revisited
Blonde on Blonde
Blood on the Tracks

The Smiths
Meat is Murder
The Queen is Dead

Bruce Springsteen
Nebraska
Tunnel of Love

Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Uplift Mofo Party Plan
Mother's Milk

John Frusciante
To Record Only Water For Ten Days
Shadows Collide With People

Cat Stevens
Tea for the Tillerman

Chalk Circle
The Great Lake

Billy Joel
River of Dreams

Men Withou Hats
In the 21st Century

Beach Boys
Pet Sounds

Beatles
Rubber Soul

NIN
everything

New Order
Movement
Power, Corruption and Lies

it's nice to be able to list a ****load of music, some respectable like Dylan and the Beatles, and other **** ****in nobody listens to or like (MWH, Chalk Circle)

Wearin and Tearin - Led Zep

It starts out like a murmur
Then it grows like thunder
Until it bursts inside of you
Try to hold it steady
Wait until youre ready
Any second now will do
Throw the door wide open
Not a word is spoken
Anything that you want to do

Ya know, ya know, ya know...

Dont you feel the same way?
Dont you feel the same way?
But you dont know what to do
No time for hesitatin
Aint no time for hesitatin
All you got to do is move
They say youre feeling blue, well
I just found a cure
Its a thing you gotta do, yeah

Ya know, ya know, ya know...

Now listen:
You say your bodys aching?
I know that its aching
Chill bumps come up on you
Yeah, the funny fool
I love the funny fool
? just like foolin after school?
And then you ask for mediciation
Who cares for medication
When youve worn away the cure

Ya know, ya know, ya know...

Go back to the country
Yeah, go back to the country
Feel a change is good for you
When you keep convincin
Ah, dont keep convincin
Whats that creeping up behind a you?
Its just an old friend
Its just an old friend
And whats that hes got for you?

Ya know, ya know, ya know...

Do your dance do your dance do your dance
Oooooh, medication
Medication!
Medication!

Finally, another Frusciante fan. One of the only artists actively seeking 'truth' in music. Shadows is excellent, like all of his work, but my favorites are TROWFTD as well as his other four Record Collection albums (The Will to Death, Inside of Emptiness, A Sphere in the Heart of Silence, Curtains).

'The Will to Death' is probably one of the best songs ever recorded by an American musician.
