Yo, fellow filmmakers! Just wanted to drop a line and see what was going on. I haven't been around for a while, but it seems things haven't changed too much. More moderators... Anyway, what's up with Tizzy's flick? Last I heard he was doing conception on a creature of sorts. Anyone working on anything?

Also, anyone live in Austin,TX? I'll be moving there within the year - hopefully!

Long time no see, C Wink

I haven't seen Tizzy around here in AGES, though, when you say his name, he usually appears soon Big Grin

So Just say my name more often. LOL Sorta like beetlejuice. Three times and i'm there... Tizzy, Tizzy, Tizzy!

Actually not to diverge onto something totally off topic but I have been around. I'm here everyday just about, pop in the chatroom often when I'm on and sit there cold and alone. Only comment when I feel I am adding something not already spoken for (which is often why I don't comment)

Believe it or not just been very busy with life and Movie stuff. Got a gig teaching film actually starting in a month or so, and atleast two shorts about to take off including the werewolf short I have been trying to do for well over a year now, but you just gotta wait for the pieces to fall into place. Finally hooked up with some talented and passionate people here in Charlotte so it's looking good. We are in pre production now, just finished building a dollie and looking to possibly purchase both a stedi cam (glide cam version) and a Telecine adapter to utilize 35mm primes on my DVX. The other is to hopefully be an entry into Fangoria Magazines Blood Drive short film contest.

Redemption had a good reception at AFM and sold some of the rights, but is still looking for a US distributor. It also won best thriller at the 2004 New York Film and Video festival.

I have been approached about two feature films, and i'm looking into that now as well as writting a few of my own, and collabarating on writing a Zombie satire film with an old film school buddy that Troma and some independent investors have expressed serious interest in.

I just have'nt come on and mentioned any of this because it's all just a little to "tooting my own horn" for me, so I was just going to wait till I had some stills to show and so on. Oh, and working on a new website with a guy here in Charlotte. Slow going but should be very cool. Otherwise slaving away at my day job and trying to be a husband.

So there it is, in all it's lack luster... my what nots. Whats everybody else up to Is what I wanna know. Where is Steven Reedy, or Jeff Ray or Thomas Verette? What r THEY up to?

R. Michael

P.S.
Kyle, ive ogt an idea for sort of a resiviour dogs fan film if you will, based on a radio brodcast Quentin wrote that was aired in France supposedly of a real criminal giving his feelings on the film. If i ever do it... you gotta be in it.

This has turned into a Tizzy thread (as do most threads Tizzy speaks in Wink)

Tizzy, I'd totally walk to your house to do a movie with you. I'd probably get lost on the way there (North Carolina is a STATE?!) and show up years later speaking Portuguese.

Yeah, I've been too lazy... I mean busy to visit the site of late. Anyway, I'm still in school - hating it! The AFC is dead and gone - not enough interest and it was easier just to do stuff with fellow classmates. We made a movie for our senior project (TCF442). It was the worse movie making experience of my life. The positions were chosen based on who's name was pulled out of the had for director, editor, dp, etc. Anyway, I ended up as a GRIP... A GRIP! It was a crappy story with crappy everything... It made me decide that school is worthless and I'm just not even trying anymore. I think I'm waiting for my friends to graduate so I can move somewhere away from Alabama. I sold my XL-1 but I bought a Power Mac G5 and Production Suite because I'm going to do some freelance editing (more than likely) as my first job. So, anyone need an editor, let me know.

I'm in a nonfiction/expiermental class now. It's interesting and boring at the same time. As school usually is. I think I'm just tired of school... yea, that's it.

Tizzy, glad to hear about Redemption's success. When/where/how could I see it?

Kyle, you got anything on the site yet, man?

lol just noticed that everyone who replied was either a moderator or alumnus.

Well, I'll see everyone around and perhaps on a set. peace.

im gonna try and submit something soon, but I'm not sure cause I might be grounded again.

& C, your moviemaking experience sounds terrible, a grip? I would've gone mad. Thats too bad that you couldn't be in more creative control.
