Is this the untimely end for Kyle's Nook? Will The Company be able to get it to the magical 50 page mark?
In an obvious attempt to keep this thread going, here are some topics you may wish to respond to...
1) My favourite letter is R. Lots of cool words come from it. I could give examples, but I wont. Just check your dictionary. What is your favourite letter?
2) Are critics to harsh on films that are supposed to just be funny? I speak particularly of Rob Schneiders new "Duece Bigalow" sequel. The dude in my newspaper gave it 0 out of 5. I know it's not going to win any Academy Awards, but seriously, it's just a stupid comedy. It's not supposed to be enlightening or anything. I myself haven't seen it yet. Do we ask to much of stupid films such as this, or is it really that bad?
3) I was thinking today, seeing as though practically nobody stays for a films end credits, what if we gave the same treatment to a stage show. The people come back out to do their final bows, and no one is paying attention, everyone is already on the way out. I think that would be funny, but then again, it may be rude and...unfunny. What do you think?
4) Please feel free to start another topic of your own, as perhaps mine leave a lot to be desired.
HOW TO RESPOND Simply put the number of the topic you wish to respond to, then respond. It's just that simple. In the event of more than one topic being responded to, more than one number is required.
Seriously guys, this nook is a part of Studentfilms.com. It has so much history and means so much to so many people. It is our duty to keep it going, at least till 50 pages. Do it for brave little Kyle, God rest his poor little soul.

I always watch the credits. As a filmmaker, I'd feel really obnoxious leaving!
So, I just saw 28 Days later yesterday. Darn good movie. Surprised me. Artfully shot. I liked the way they made everything look beautiful, instead of creepy, most of the time. I did think the plane at the end should have dropped an atomic bomb though. Isn't that what the US would do to a country infected with a zombie plague?

1) C for Callipygous 2) Yes. Good humor needs no excuse, but it must be good. 3) Funny. I've walked out on a stage show before, but that's because the performance reminded me of my phobia of bats, and then my parents were gunned down in an alley as we left. 4) The Lion King offers us a heavily speciest view of the animal kingdom, with hyenas as the outcast, vilified creatures damned to their own separate land and food. Since the animals are, to say the least, anthropomorphized, does the presentation of this social structure (which is proven in the movie to ably function, and function better than an integrated environment) suggest a racist, segregationist stance on the part of Walt Disney?

1. My favorite letter is the letter "Y" because it is both a consanant (sp?) and a vowel! Now how many other letters in the alphabet can claim to be bisexual? None, except Y. Although, I will also say that I love the letter "P," from such great words as poutine, portage, and pnemonia
2. Do we still bash some lame ass student film thats a crappy cheap comedy? Not bashingly, but when that student crappy film is better than the big hollywood film I feel it is appropriate.
3. If you pay to see it, fine, walk out, ur there at ur own expense.
And as far as Harris' 4th question, No! They had Elton John do the music for it, that's like the equivalent of the Berlin wall coming down as far as Disney-Gay relations go.

1.I would have to say my favorite letter is F. Mainly for how many times I saw it in school. 2. Critics never know whats going. read Ebert's reviews lately? He's old and senial and think every movie is good. 3. I think the end of a stage show is a lot quicker, whereas some credit sequences never end...I love how the filmmakers fool the audience sometimes...people think the "Special funny stuff bloopers" is over, and they wait wand wait, some leave, and then WHAM there's some more...SIT BACK DOWN and watch the stupiditity! 4. friend of mine saw the Lion King show in London, she says it sucks.

a blind man can make millions, but how many films can an honest man make?
whats the deciding factors? the potential I suppose is unlimited, but we can't have it all, we have to share with others . So how much can be said and when is it over?
I'm an idiot, folks

4 is associated with death in the Chinese culture because it is pronounced the same.
By the way Kyle, I'm catching up to you on posts!
Wish me luck guys. I'm the official photographer for the Next Reel International Film Festival and I'm starting today. For a warm-up I'm planning to photograph every filmmaker there (around 80) in one hour.
