my half brother lives right down there and just got back from evacuating--for the second time. Actually, some family friends had the roof blown off their apartment and now it's condemned. They haven't had power for a long time. The only phones are cell phones and you have to charge them off their cars. And just recently, the gas stations have run out of gas so people can't get around--like to buy food because perishables perish when there's no refrigeration. ...not to mention starting the car to charge the cell phone. It's really bad. But I think it's kind of exciting, as I sit in my California climate controlled room.

Ya, but what happens when the next earthquake hits Cali? You'll be screwed then. See thats the weird part of living in Canada, nothing bad ever happens, and when it does, the rest of the world doesn't know and/or doesn't care about it, example, the NHL is on strike and there might not be any hockey this year, yet all of u little powerless Florida and Atlanta ppl can do is cry about ur friggin' hurricanes, I meen at least you haven't lost 17% of your employment due to the NHL shutting down Big Grin

Yea, I'm in Orlando. We got hit by Charlie, Frances, and Jeanne. Charley hit us the worst. That one really trashed us. We hadn't had a hurricane hit Orlando in 40 years and now we have had 3 within a month.

Sucks ass.

I've survived dozens of earthquakes. I'd take that over canadian winters and floridian tropical storms any day. But, I'm sure ya'll'd say that about your respective places. That's why we live where we do.

What I do wish we had here in california are the blue land crabs native to central florida. They're awesome. They walk sideways.
