I don't think the DS is meant to 'beat' the PSP in terms of graphics... it's supposed to provide a different experience. Most of the good games are just N64 ports, though - not that PSP's library is fantastic now either. Waiting on the truly good games to reveal themselves (GT4 Mobile, a true MGS game, etc.)
Most of the good games are N64 ports? Mario Kart isn't a port at all - there are a ton of new features.
Plus - Kirby, Nintendogs, Pheonix Wright, Advance Wars, Animal Crossing, etc...are all great games.
I don't have one personally - although I did buy a GBA once when I was loading 80 hours of footage for a concert when I was an assistant editor - did play with it too much after that.
I did play Mario Kart at ebgames the other day on the DS though and I had a blast. Brought back some great memories.
It's still Mario Kart. I didn't know Advance Wars is out on DS - I remember it on GBA.
AFAIK they just took the N64 Mario Kart and added more detailed character animations. It's still a fun game, but as far as original software the DS is lacking (as is the PSP). Still waiting on GT4 Mobile...
As would be expected im such a purist im still playing my Mario 3, Duck Hunt, and Battle TOads (the greatest game ever I might add) on my original NES system. Still better than any of this new crap.

Move up to SNES at least... Duck Hunt is good but Super Mario World is arguably the best platformer ever (I like Yoshi's Island as much) and Chrono Trigger is fantastic. Also FFVI, etc...
Evan, something you and I have in common! I never really thought I'd have anything in common with you, but Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island are a blast.
I love Super NES... Final Fight rocked, SF2 Turbo, Zelda, Chrono Trigger, all great games.

What's crazy is - the Nintendo Revolution is going to have all of those games available to download and play. Metroid here I come. The Revolution will have access to their entire back catalogue from the NES to the Gamecube - it's crazy.
