I fantasize about this a lot.
Name one book you would love to make a film on.
Only one.

(okay or a series, i.e. LOTR)

Mine would have to be...
King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table!
No one has done this book right. It has potential to be freakin awesome.

Hasn't there been a couple of films about that book? Guenivere? Excalibur?

But yes - it is still a great story.

I always wanted to do a movie version of The Stand. (they made one - but it stinks)

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, but then they started making it.

So now, mine would be

The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne

Survivor by Chuck Pahlinuik or Lamb by Christopher Moore. Both would make great films.

I always thought "The Sea Wolf" would be a great movie. But I think they already made one... and it was bad. That and "Call of the Wild". Both awesome Jack London books.

p.s. - "The Jungle" would be a good one too. And if you haven't read any of the above books. They should be mandatory reading! Smile
