Apparently, this is a ridiculously well produced hoax. But we wont really know until E3...regardless, you all need to watch this video to show that...if this is INDEED a fake...there are some ridiculously talented people out there with way too much time on their hands...so we all should be worried about getting jobs in the industry lol Big Grin

Make sure you watch the ENTIRE thing. the intro is kind of long.

Seriously though...what would you give to try something like this out? sick.

I don't know if this legitimizes that video at all, but they do have something in the woodworks.

That's really neat. I had a sneaking suspicion that the Nintendo Revolution would be Virtual Reality of sorts.

Especially when they said that they were going to re-invent gaming.

I grew up on the NES....it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Well this article claims that it is false -

http://news.gaminghorizon.com/media2/1116039720.1050.html

We'll find out soon enough - they should be announcing something at e3.

If it is fake - someone has WAY too much time on their hands.

Exactly.

While i wouldnt put it past nintendo to do this, i wouldnt give them so much cred. as to try it and not have it flop for being well conceived, poorly executed. But god...that would be so hot. I'd never leave the house lol.

OK, I really want people to look into this more. But, if anyone remembers The Revolution wasnt the Next Gen System nintendo is releasing, Its a Mid system, then they will release their next GEN system. Watch the video and at 4min 40sec pause it, it shows the new system and backward compatable systems ( Cube and a flat box one with a ? on it) kinda looks like the little black box they are releasing soon. I believe it is just a step to what we see in the video.

none of the things in that video look like Nintendo stuff though. they don't use that kind of music, they don't spend so much time on graphics and SFX and they don't use text like that.

now it could be a break from the norm for them, but nintendo is very proud of their brand and their games and so usually when they announce new systems they let the games do the talking for them.

it is quite a long video too, but something completely plausible as a final project for a VFX student.

Actually I would disagree, have you seen any of the GBA commercials they are all like this video. They have the flashy Mtv style, and techno style musci playing over this just like the video we saw here. Now I am not sawing this is real or if its fack I am just saw dont put it past them.

ah, those are commercials to sell products.

i'm talking about the promos they show at E3 and stuff like that. they usually keep things secret and very toned down until it actually comes out.

Yeah, that's an awesome awesome video but yeah, as you guys said it's old and fake. No VR Nintendo has been announced yet. Registration under the name Reggie F. is just another ploy to get people to think it's real.

And on the topic of the old Zelda footage it was merely some test video for GCN. People assumed that's what it would look like until they released Wind Waker which is a brilliant brilliant game and you should go pick it up. The new one is a totally new incarnation of the series, not the original bit they showed. It actually looks cooler.
