MeGrimlock, I can almost see people with BIID as having some legitimate, deep-down, psychological disorder, and it can possibly be dealt with. But they can keep those bareback parties. I put that in the category (and way beyond) with the "hooker/suspension" fetish.

Hook hanging was cool in Florida like 8-10 years ago. all the clubs had it, even if they weren't fetish/goth clubs. no matter what music they played too.

they would have hook-hangers, and those fire-tattoo people. that's around the time liquid latex was a legal form of clothing, so lots of people did that as well.

during White Party Week, all the events held by one certain promoter had hook-hanging people at the door checking IDs as they wore angel outfits.

people also go outside to public places like trees that overlook roads or buildings over busy intersections, and hung themselves to get attention.

after a while everyone got bored with it and stopped doing it, and last time i was in florida, the cool thing was having public sex. at bars or clubs, people would just start having sex and no one would tell them to stop or anything. guys, girls, gays, lesbians, everyone was having sex.
