Happy birthday, America!

I'm on Cape Cod for the weekend. Even though it's only July 1st I've already seen some fireworks — as a matter of fact, while watching the display earlier tonight, I realized it was a bit strange that we celebrate our nation's birthday by launching explosives into the sky and watching them detonate. Regardless I love fireworks and always enjoy the fourth of July.

What's everyone else up to?

Just got back from the black market (aka fireworks tents) and three hundred dollars later, I'm feeling quite giddy.
