Someone gave me a copy of Cubase, and I don't need it (I'm a protools guy, myself). For all of you non-audio/music types out there, Cubase is a multitrack audio and midi recording program. It can sync with both quicktime and timecode. It can even generate timecode, if you have a timecode DAT or VTR to slave to it (I know, you all are wondering what slaving means. Ah, the days of digital...). It's old, version 3.52, but it works. It's for Mac, and you'll need a cd drive AND a floppy drive (the "master disk", which cntains all the registration and authorization info, is a floppy. I told you it was old). It need OS 7 or higher. I think that won't be a problem. Some possible uses for Cubase: recording music, sound effects, dialogue, and mixing it all together in one program (it comes complete with built in VST effects like reverb, delay, etc). Because it can sync with quicktime, you can overdub all your dialog if you want, and it will lock up every time. After you get it all mixed you can burn the whole thing, movie and all, to disk, and you have a fully scored and mixed movie. Anyhow, it's pretty cool, so if you want it, just be the first to respond. We'll work out details after that.
