I am trying to build my resume, and would love to work with you on your project. I place most of my finished and in-the-works demos on my site. I'll the music speak for itself. I have been playing piano and composing for 14 years, and approach music composition from a very personal POV. I can nail what you want to express in your film, you just tell me how you want it and I make it.

I also do sound mixing and editing for those of you who have the music, but need it edited in all that great high end software. I use Cubase4, Logic Studio, Soundtrack Pro 2, and an arsenal of Virtual Instrument libraries to make just about anything possible. It depends on how intricate the arrangement is, and how long the piece will be. I am offering cheap services at the moment. I am like you, I'm trying to "break in" as well.
