I'm looking for a composer to score my 23-minute documentary.
The documentary uses the words from my grandmother’s memoir -- as well as animation and archival footage -- to tell the story of my grandmother’s struggle to keep herself and her children alive during the Holocaust.
Some of the music that I originally used needs to be replaced because it is unlicensable. To that end, I need someone to compose and record about 12 minutes (a lot of which can be reprises) of classical piano or violin/viola/cello music with a style similar to the original music.
Unfortunately, this is my MFA thesis film and I can’t afford to pay for the music composition. However, I can offer you your own title card in the film’s credits, as well as copies of the DVD and reimbursement for all production-related expenses. I am also hopeful that the documentary -- and your music -- will get wide exposure. My previous film played at major festivals internationally, gained distribution with the nation’s leading LGBT media distributor, and aired on several large public television member stations; my first film will air on the Documentary Channel this spring.
Timeframe: January-February, 2010.
If you’re interested or want to learn more, please drop me a line at doccomposer@yahoo.com. Please also send me links to your music or website, but no attachments.
Thanks for your interest!

Hey, I have composer a couple of classical pieces with piano before, and could very well produce something better. Check my website out and listen to the two song under classical. www.jonandrelundal.com
