Hi, my name is Steven Krimmel and I'm looking for someone willing to score a movie for me. I know there are plenty of composers on this forum asking for work, but I made this topic instead of searching through so I can make contact with a composer that's actually interested in a film where the production value is not so high. The movie is called Projectionist and the trailer can be found at http://www.studentfilms.com/film/get.do?id=1062 It's a high school production I started with a friend of mine, Dustin Yates, in a summer when I was 16 years old. I'm now 18 and have just begun college. It's been a slow production because we've been shooting nights at a movie theater we obviously don't own and this was a callaboration... this small town theater is in a place where my friend lives 4 hours away driving distance. We weren't able to film too often. It's been in post-production for quite awhile and it's almost complete visually, but it needs music. And I most defenitely feel this needs original music. I would like to finally get this done within the next 2 months because it's been way too long since we started and I can't wait to see it finished. I aimed for it to be half an hour... and don't be afraid, but it's an hour long movie. I assure you that it doesn't need a lot of score. But it defenitely does in certain areas. If you're interested hopefully based on this information and the trailer, which I released a year ago when not many things were shot (Trust me, we've gone way ahead of what's there), please contact me. If you're in I'll give you the rough cut and explain what I desire. And you don't have to do this for free, though most of the movie has cost NO money, I want good fitting music so bad I'm willing to pay a good amount, not a crazy amount as I'm not rich, but I'm pretty eager for a good composer. This is a dark comedy (weird, and B movie Evil Dead/Dead Alive like also), Slasher Film, and Psychological thriller. That sounds like too much, but my friend and I had some ideas and we've been running along with them for all this time and we'd like to see it come together. The open minded are very welcome to volunteer. Thank you very much if you've read all this way! Please, this would mean so much to us. This project is our labor of love.
